You can take a comprehensive, guided tour to discover the building’s magnificent history, ornate art, classical architecture, and role as the seat of Montana state government. Or you can explore the Capitol on your own with the aid of self-guiding tour booklets and a scavenger hunt for kids led by Lewis and Clark’s intrepid Newfoundland, Seaman. These are available at the information desk on the first floor of the Capitol.

Monday through Saturday: Tours begin on the hour at 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., noon, 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.
No tours are offered on Sundays or State Holidays
